I was formerly on AO3 under the STARLIGHTSWORDFIGHT username, for transparency, and deleleted my account on my own terms. I plan on moving all my fics HERE, and they will remain up even if I find a suitable site replacement.
I removed my account and all works (all of which are backed up) off of the site due to how their staff handled sexual harassment towards a real child through a sexually explicit work on their site; it was reported to them, and they not only condoned it, but denied that writing sexual stories about an existing human being could be sexual harassment in any context.
I will not tell anyone what to do but as a survivor myself, I cannot in good conscience stay on a site run by people who think writing erotic material of minors is alright and who believe what is and is not sexual harassment somehow starts and ends at their particular terms of service. They make the deliberate choice to fundamentally misunderstand what sexual harassment is and the real harm that it does, and they make the deliberate choice to ignore immediate harm towards children because the harm isn't bad enough yet. It sends the message that sexualizing people who cannot ever consent is a trivial thing, which in my eyes is sickening on top of wholly unacceptable.
I also will not be arguing with anyone about this because quite frankly it is WEIRD as HELL to defend something like that. I will assume you are a creep and I will block your sorry ass. To everyone else, thank you for your patience while I move my writing over.
