What's This All About?
This website is absolutely all over the place. Putting everything I like or care about or want to share in one space will do that! But I'm REALLY, really happy to be here!
Infodumping about things I find fun or interesting, progress on my horror projects, personal updates, you can find it all right here! I like being able to talk about all of these things and don't feel quite as ... exposed with it on a Neocities site as opposed to literally anywhere else. This site is going to have my fictional stories and the process of bringing those to life (the horror fiction section), a place for you to check out my friends' work and sites, and a section for resources on things I either find very important or interesting! If you need, like, world history resources and cool rock facts at the same time then you've come to the right place.
I also do general disability sensitivity reading! Specifically in terms of intersectional representation (only what I'm ABLE to speak up on), and on disabilities that I, myself, have! I write essays about these things. They are not formal but they are still research papers, so the material I'm providing is very long! I plan on having that up on the site as soon as I can.
Hoping that the website will look prettier as I go, too. I am VERY, very new to HTML and coding. It's been a long learning process, and I still discover new things every day. I appreciate your patience with me as I figure this all out!
Who is This Website Suitable For?
I AM an adult, and as such, this website is NOT always going to be suitable for children! Because of my interest in horror and frequent discussion of politics and heavier real-world subjects*, I cannot and will not guarantee that this space is fully safe for work -- however, I will add content warnings wherever I can, and it is unlikely that anything explicitly sexual will be present out of personal discomfort. Suggestive themes or imagery might show up, but nothing too direct.
So is it as "extreme" as it could be! No! But I'm still not comfortable saying the blog is friendly for everyone, because that would be lying. I also swear very frequently online, and tend to use caps when I'm excited or passionate about something if that's something that might bother you!
I am also not going to apologize for being political! It is something I can't avoid in my day-to-day life as a disabled person, and it's only fair of me to put the same energy into discussions around other injustices that I do ableism. It's solidarity as much as it is self-defense; if that makes you uncomfortable you do not have to look at those pages. No one is forcing you.
[And honestly if you see me talking about things that actively affect my and my friends' quality of life and safety as "killing the vibe" (especially when you DO NOT HAVE to engage) then I don't really want to be around you, anyway! What the hell!]
Again, I WILL provide content warnings before certain topics come up! Any warnings you find that feel particularly specific or "unusual" are likely for my friends. Please respect that for their sake!
I will NEVER include flashing lights on this site. Eyestrain MAY appear in some places, and will be properly warned for in advance.
